Some kind of dispenser?

Does anybody know what this is? Have you ever seen one like it? It is brass and heavy faceted glass and looks vintage. I put dishwasher soap in it to show the glass. It is 12" tall and the little drip tray can be removed when the top is unscrewed.

Charlene, I found it at a Thrift Shop in Austin and even though I did not know what it was, I could not resist it.

I think it is a liquor server i.e. brandy, very small glasses would have set on the tray. Fun piece to set on a bar, very chic in its day. The glass looks heavy, is it? Are there any marks on the bottom?

Wow! I never thought about that! How cute little glasses would be on the tray! The glass is heavy and I don't see any marks. Thanks for your comment!

I had one of those years ago! It had about 6 small glasses on the tray. My grandfather owned a restaurant/bar and had lots of vintage barware...it came from his collection. I love the green in it!

Well, now I have seen one on ebay. It actually is a pump shot dispenser and the little tray holds shot glasses! You know what, I happen to have 6 small shot glasses with gold trim at the top that will look great on the tray! If I can get the dispenser and the glasses in one location to take a pic, I will post it!
